Hollywood

Beyond its fabled image as the film capital of the world, Hollywood is a diverse, vital, and active community striving to take full advantage of a dynamic residential real estate boom while preserving and celebrating its glamorous history.

A new era for the community began in the mid-'80s, with the creation of a redevelopment area, the addition of subway stops, and the founding of a business improvement district.
These actions prompted developers to invest hundreds of millions of dollars to revitalize the area's entertainment core, anchored by the Hollywood & Highland Center, home of the Kodak Theatre and the Academy Awards. The Hollywood Boulevard commercial and entertainment district is officially listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Today, the rebirth of Hollywood as a pleasant place to live, shop, and proudly host visitors of the world is well underway. As housing costs throughout the region soar, a growing number of affluent buyers are viewing Hollywood - one of the few remaining places in LA that can gracefully accommodate growth - as an attractive choice.

With thousands of new residential units planned, under construction, or recently completed, residential growth and upscaling may well outstrip the tourist market as the real driver of Hollywood's renaissance.
